The document was signed by Nikolai Shulginov, the Minister of Energy of Russia, Denis Manturov, the Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Andrey Ryumin, Director General of PJSC Rosseti, and Viktor Khmarin, Director General of PJSC RusHydro, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The parties have agreed on cooperation and information exchange in terms of providing, manufacturing and supplying products for the needs of the electric power industry. The main goals are to ensure the reliable operation of the electric grid complex and timely implementation of the companies' investment projects in the sector, and to maintain the stable operation of Russian producers in the electric power industry.
"One of the key aims of the signed agreement is to create conditions for the accelerated development of production of domestic analogues of imported equipment and components, and the replacement of imported products with their domestic analogues. Rosseti and RusHydro have identified the list of the most popular high technologies and have prepared the "road maps" to be implemented providing for their further development," Nikolay Shulginov commented.
Currently, one of the most important areas of the industry is the development and widespread use of intelligent control systems in the electric power industry, the Minister said.
"Import substitution is a strategically important area for Rosseti. Most of the company's procurement is already covered by Russian manufacturers. Cooperation with them enables to ensure the technological security of network facilities, and encourages the development of industry-specific innovative infrastructure. The signed agreement provides for the measures to master the production of complex high-tech products that will be competitive not only in the domestic market, but also abroad," Andrey Ryumin said.
